Award-winning Scottish spirits brand Hipflask Spirits has partnered with Morrisons supermarkets. Four of the brand's best-selling flavours will be available in six Scottish stores – Fort William, Auchinlea, Dundee, Perth, Gyle, and Arbroath.

Morrisons has announced plans to close 132 of McColl’s convenience stores that the supermarket recently acquired. Some 1,300 staff will be affected but they could be offered jobs elsewhere by the chain.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has provisionally approved the deal proposed by Morrisons to acquire McColl's stores. In July 2022, the CMA launched its investigation into Morrisons reported £190 million purchase of stores owned by McColl’s Retail Group Plc.
