Dagmara Aldridge assumes her post immediately and brings over 15 years of leadership experience across the payments, financial services and FinTech sectors. Dagmara was most recently head of operations, change and delivery for UK-based multi-channel payments FinTech, CashFlows, having previously served in various change delivery leadership roles with Valitor, Travis Perkins and Barclaycard.  

Ms Dagmara is based in London from where she will service Zumo’s international team both there and in Edinburgh and Slovenia. 

The appointment comes as cryptocurrencies continue to gain traction with mainstream investors and consumers. Bitcoin has enjoyed a rally of 60% on the year to sit above $11,000, benefitting buy-and-hold investors. 

Earlier this week, Zumo launched a new app-based exchange feature which allows users to easily buy, sell, send and spend cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum without the need to use an intermediary such as a bank. 

Eurekahedge estimates that digital currency funds were up more than 50% from January to July as investors choose Bitcoin as a safe growth asset in uncertain financial markets.
