Wylie & Bisset promotes Catherine Livingstone as director
Glasgow-based charted accountants Wylie & Bisset have announced the promotion of Catherine Livingstone to director with responsibility for supporting its client base of owner-managed businesses.
Ms Livingstone, who first joined the firm as a trainee CA in 2004, has helped build an extensive client list of audit exempt charities during her time at the firm and will now use her experience to support audit exempt owner-managed businesses.
Her main focus over the next six months will be ensuring her clients are ready for ‘Making Tax Digital’, providing advice that will not only meet HMRC’s requirements, but will improve and automate client’s accounting systems.
Commenting on her promotion, Ms Livingstone said: “I’m delighted with the promotion to director within the firm. Having joined the firm as a trainee almost 15 years ago, over the years I have gained a wide range of skills and experience which I look forward to using to support our existing SME clients, as well as continuing to grow the firm’s SME client base.
“There has been a pathway for me to progress from trainee to director and this is reflective of Wylie & Bisset’s commitment to support those with ambition to progress within the firm.”
Ross McLauchlan, joint managing partner at Wylie & Bisset, said: “We are delighted to see Catherine become a director in our firm. She has worked her way up through the business, gaining a strong reputation with clients and colleagues alike.
“Her appointment is reflective of her hard work and track record, the firm’s growing client base and our commitment to owner managed businesses across all sectors in Scotland.”
