Wylie & Bisset announces trio of senior appointments
Wylie & Bisset, accountants and business advisers, has announced a trio of promotions that sees tax director Shehzad Ashaq promoted to associate partner together with the promotions of Matthew McDermott to senior manager and Laura Caulfield to manager within the burgeoning Business Advisory Services team.
Catherine McManus, partner and head of tax at Wylie & Bisset, said: “We are delighted with Shehzad’s promotion to Associate Partner, which reflects the dedication and hard work he puts in to providing excellent client service in respect of tax matters for our client base.
“On a personal level, having worked with Shehzad for many years, I feel this promotion is richly deserved and I welcome his ongoing support.”
Mr Ashaq’s promotion follows his winning the Rising Star in Business category at the Scottish Asian & Business Awards at the end of last year.
Catherine Livingstone, partner and head of food & drink, added: “We are very pleased with the promotion of Matthew to Senior Manager and Laura to Manager within the firm. Matthew has worked his way up through the business providing excellent support to both clients and colleagues.
“Laura’s promotion follows less than a year after her promotion from Senior Client Advisor to Team Leader and reflects her strong staff and client management skills.
“These promotions are reflective of their hard work and contribution to the success of the Business Advisory Services team.”
The trio of promotions follow the recent announcement that Wylie & Bisset has joined forces with CFO Solutions group Opulus to create a ‘hub and spoke’ model of business advisory services.
