Mint Ventures, based in Glasgow, said it is close to completing its first investment following its formal launch last week.

Led by start-up advisor and investor Gillian Fleming, the syndicate has been established by 20 women in response to research from Women’s Enterprise Scotland (WES) into barriers women entrepreneurs face in accessing finance.

It is being supported by LINC Scotland, UKBAA, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Par Equity.
