Whyte & Mackay’s profits soar to record £96m
Whyte & Mackay, the whisky giant behind brands like Dalmore, Tamnavulin, and Jura, has reported a surge in pre-tax profits to £96 million in its latest accounts.
Turnover also jumped to £370 million for the year ended 31 December 2023, up from £321m the previous year.
The company, which employs around 700 people across its five north and north-east distilleries in Scotland, attributed the strong performance to continued growth in core brands, particularly Dalmore. Increased production and efficient cost control also contributed to the profit increase.
The accounts also revealed that Whyte & MacKay’s total assets sit at over £1 billion, while total liabilities come in at just under £244m.
