Wbg expands Glasgow team with double director hire
Wbg has strengthened its Glasgow office with the appointment of two new directors.
Alison Webster joins the firm’s Business Advisory Services team while Peter Clark joins its Internal Audit team.
In her most recent role, Ms Webster was a director with Azets and brings with her over 27 years’ experience of working in a practice environment. She will play an instrumental role in helping the growth and development of the department across all locations.
Mr Clark brings with him many years of internal audit experience gained across industry and practice, including time as an Internal Audit Director with Grant Thornton. He joins the internal audit management team as it embarks on a busy and exciting year ahead.
Welcoming Ms Webster to the team, Catherine Livingstone, partner in the business advisory services leadership team, said: “I’m delighted to have Alison join the business advisory services team.
“She brings with her a wealth of experience and skills and will play a pivotal role in advising our clients and supporting our team as we continue to grow.”
Graham Gillespie, partner and head of internal audit at Wbg, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Peter to the team. Following the significant growth of the internal audit client base in recent years, combined with the expansion of the internal audit team, we identified the need to invest in and strengthen the management team.
“Peter brings a wealth of experience from both industry and practice and will support me in servicing existing clients and delivering our strategy for continued growth in the coming years.”
Donald McKinnon, Wbg COO, added: “These appointments, which are additional hires rather than replacements, will enable us to progress our plans for growth for the year ahead without delay as we continue to explore opportunities for expansion, whether organic or via further M&A activity.”
