Walter Scott & Partners pays out £24m to four directors
Edinburgh-based investment management firm, Walter Scott & Partners, has revealed a renumeration package worth over £24 million for its executive directors.
The company’s accounts revealed the sum but not how much each director received. One director received compensation worth £10.17m. After subtracting the directors’ renumeration costs, the company paid its staff £58.9m working out to to an average of £368,000 per employee.
The firm posted a pre-tax profit of £210m on revenues of £308.9m in its 2021 annual accounts and recorded £86.4 billion in AUM.
Walter Scott & Partners’ four executive directors are Jimmy Smith (61), Charlie Macquaker (53), Roy Leckie (50), and managing director Jane Henderson (50).
Founded in 1983, the company manages several funds for institutional investors. The company is part of Bank of New York Mellon since 2006, when it was acquired by the US-institution.
