With over a decade in the sector, Ms Albuquerque brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles at hotels such as the five-star Kimpton Blythswood Square, Voco Grand Central, and Crowne Plaza in London.

As general manager, she will spearhead all operational departments of Virgin Hotels Edinburgh, contributing her passion for exemplary guest experiences and innovative hospitality practices.

The hotel, which was inaugurated in June 2022, is situated in the historic Old Town of Edinburgh, and features 222 rooms, including chambers and grand chamber suites, along with dining outlets and versatile event spaces. It also houses the 19th-century church, Greyfriars Hall, which has been repurposed as a unique venue for special events.
