UKSE appoints finance veteran Scott Webb as area manager for Scotland
UKSE, a subsidiary of Tata Steel, has appointed finance veteran Scott Webb as its area manager for Scotland.
With a background in business finance, including roles at Clydesdale Bank, North Ayrshire Council and the West of Scotland Loan Fund, Scott Webb joined UKSE almost eight years ago.
As regional manager, Mr Webb will be responsible for UKSE’s investments and property management in Scotland.
The TATA Steel subsidiary provides loan and equity finance of up to £1 million to growing businesses. The firm also supports businesses with workspace offerings, providing premises on an easy-in, easy-out basis.
Among the Scottish companies, UKSE has invested in recently are leading biotech specialists, Antibody Analytics; Ayrshire double-glazing manufacturers, Scotia; and Motherwell-based IT business, VectorCloud.
UKSE also operates six business and innovation centres across the UK, including Grovewood Business Centre, which offers high-quality workspace in Strathclyde Business Park.
Mr Webb will be supported by Terry Quinn, who has been appointed as regional executive. Mr Quinn was previously economic development specialist at West Lothian Council, prior to this he spent almost 10 years at Clydesdale Bank where his roles included corporate finance director.
