Tweed Wealth Management celebrates 10 years in business
Edinburgh-based Tweed Wealth Management has celebrated 10 years in business, with founders Chris Tweed and Alison Welsh looking forward to further growth.
Founded in December 2013, the financial advice firm led by a husband-and-wife team now employs 30 people across its Edinburgh and Inverness offices and is looking to establish new offices in Scotland and London in the decade ahead.
Mr Tweed said: “Throughout the past decade, our priority has always been to offer a client focussed approach, prioritising personalised financial planning delivered by highly trained advisers.
“For this reason, we have been committed to our status as a chartered firm, and we now look to the future and how we can enhance this personal approach with sophisticated technology that aids us in delivering even more nuanced and comprehensive financial strategies.
“This fusion underscores our commitment to a client-centred approach where every technological advancement is evaluated by how it serves our clients’ interests and supports the team.”
Mrs Welsh added: “The journey Tweed Wealth Management has taken over the last decade has been incredibly exciting. We started from humble beginnings to now managing over £450 million in client assets; we really do see Tweed Wealth as our first child, and we couldn’t be prouder.
“Last year the firm was awarded chartered financial planning status, highlighting our team’s commitment to always delivering for our clients, and to pushing ourselves to be the very best we can be.”
The firm has a number of sister companies – Tweed Paraplanning & AutoSL, Behavioural Finance, and Tweed Business Advisory – which provide a full suite of services and tools to individuals and businesspeople looking to take control of their finances.
Its rapid growth has been enabled by a number of strategic acquisitions, beginning with Jamieson Wealth Management and Stevenson Hamilton Wealth Management in 2017. Melville Wealth Management was welcomed into the fold in 2020, with John Home Wealth Management following in 2021 and Macleod & MacCallum Wealth Management in 2022.
Mrs Welsh said: “As we reflect on the last decade and look to the future, we are excited about the next chapter we’re embarking on. We’re committed to continuing to innovate and grow, always with our clients’ best interests at heart.”
