The primary objective of the Beattie Communications and Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie consortium is to save businesses in Scotland and across the UK from going bust. What’s more, the team want to ensure companies thrive, not just survive. The consortium is currently working with companies in the health, entertainment, hospitality, retail and building sectors.

Mr Blin is the former executive chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Scotland and UK head of regions and Paul Simmons is the former EasyJet director.

The two have come on board to help companies address the difficult challenges they are facing in current times. They have an impressive track record of turning around failing businesses.

Mr Blin, a serial investor in a wide range of businesses, said: “I’m keen to play my part in stopping companies going bust. Mergers, restructures and refinancing are among the strategies we’ll use to save jobs and businesses in Scotland and across the UK.”

Mr Simmons added: “Turnarounds are my specialism and I look forward to lending my skills to assist businesses that may be teetering on the brink.”
