Triple nomination for Infinity Partnership at 2016 British Accountancy Awards
Aberdeen-based accountancy practice Infinity Partnership has been shortlisted for three national awards as a result of its innovative client solutions.
The winners of the 2016 British Accountancy Awards will be announced at a ceremony at The Brewery in London on Tuesday, November 29 (2016).
Infinity has been nominated in the Independent Firm of the Year – Scotland category, while its managing director Simon Cowie is a finalist in the Practitioner of the Year category and Greg Houston, Infinity client relations manager has been nominated as a finalist in the New Practitioner of the Year category.
The company won the Independent Firm of the Year Scotland award at last year’s event.
Simon Cowie, managing director of Infinity Partnership, said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted once again at these prestigious awards which highlight the success the company has experienced in the past year.
“The Infinity team deserves to be recognised as it is their hard work which has secured us these nominations. Congratulations also go to Greg Houston, whose nomination is fully deserved and acknowledges the professionalism and expertise he offers to clients.”
Infinity, which employs 13 people, offers accountancy services, research and development tax solutions, business advisory services, start-up advice and tax planning among its services. The firm has experienced significant growth as a result of realigning its business to focus on research and development tax credits, and investing in its accountancy software and cloud-based technology solutions.
The business increased turnover from £1.61 million in 2015 to £2 million for its 2016 year-end in May. In addition, the company has assisted with the start-up of 74 new businesses in the past year and holds a client retention rate of 99.5 per cent.
Infinity added 300 clients to its portfolio as a result of a merger with Aberdeen-based Accord Tax & Accountancy in mid-2015. The firm now has more than 1,000 clients from Shetland to Southampton and has completed projects in the United States, Australia and the Middle East.
Established in 2011, Infinity was also recently shortlisted as a finalist in the Practice Growth of the Year category at the Practice Excellence Awards, as well as being shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Scottish Accountancy and Finance Awards.
