Together joins RBS alternative lending scheme
Specialist lender Together has joined RBS’s Capital Connections pilot scheme for business banking customers who are unable to borrow directly from the bank.
RBS’s alternative panel of lenders includes Together as well as three peer-to-peer platforms which will cater for businesses with a turnover of up to £25 million.
Capital Connections will be piloted in Scotland, Wales and the South West, before being rolled out nationally later this year.
Marc Goldberg, Commercial CEO of Together, said he is really pleased to be part of the scheme: “As a specialist lender with a successful trading history that spans over 42 years – built on a reputation for providing fast and flexible finance with exceptional personal service, and current external funding facilities of just under £1.6 billion – we’re ideally placed to act as a complement to the bank to ensure that their business banking customers are able to access the finance they need.”
Alison Rose, CEO of Commercial and Private Banking at RBS, added: “Building on our existing scheme for small businesses, I’m delighted that we will now be able to formally refer commercial scale businesses to an unrivalled panel of experts and professionals with a wide range of lending appetites.”
