Standard Life Investments/Ignis integration sees 10 funds renamed

IgnisEdinburgh-based wealth manager Standard Life Investments has announced plans to rename 10 funds taken on as part of its acquisition of Ignis last year.

Under the plans, which are part of an initiative of integration, the funds will retain the word Ignis in their titles but will now include the suffix ’Standard Life’.

In the case of the Ignis American Growth, this means it will become the Standard Life Ignis American Growth fund.

An SLI spokesperson said the name change is expected to be completed on 8 June but may not formally happen until later in the month.

The spokesperson also stressed that nothing will change with management of the funds themselves, or strategy.

Other funds set to be renamed will be Ignis Balanced Growth, Ignis Corporate Bond, Ignis European Growth, Ignis Global Growth, Ignis High Income Bond, Ignis Pacific Growth, Ignis Smaller Companies, Ignis UK Equity Income and Ignis UK Property Feeder.

SLI acquired Glasgow-based Ignis Asset Management for £390m in March last year.

According to SLI’s latest full-year results, the deal saw third party assets under management increased to £117.5bn as of February 2015, from £89.8bn.
