Sopra Steria launches new initiative for fintech organisations
Sopra Steria, one of the world’s largest tech consultancies has launched its new scheme to bring fintech organisations into the forefront of innovation in financial services.
Launched in partnership with FinTech Scotland and the University of Edinburgh, the new programme, named Chemistry, provides an opportunity for fintech firms of all levels from Scotland and beyond to work with highly established financial institutions.
The programme is designed to provide a collaborative platform between fintech organisations and established financial institutions.
The initiative has been started to help up and coming, innovative fintech organisations who may not have the greatest visibility when it comes to established clients, often restricting progress in the industry and leaving these firms unable to reach their full potential.
How the initiative works:
- Fintech firms apply to the programme, outlining an idea that will help innovate the industry – this year’s focus is on mortgages.
- Shortlisted applicants deliver their idea presentations to a panel of industry experts and potential customers
- Sopra Steria and selected fintechs kick-off a design sprint at their Edinburgh DigiLab
- The outcome of the design sprint is then pitched to potential clients
- Refinements made based on feedback and concept is ready for launch
