Shepherd and Wedderburn appoints George Stevenson as private client specialist
Aberdeen-based Shepherd and Wedderburn has appointed George Stevenson as its new private client specialist.
Mr Stevenson will bring over 40 years’ of experience and expertise across the spectrum of personal legal and tax matters to the firm and its clients.
Renowned for his focus on clients and exceptional technical skills, Mr Stevenson specialises in all aspects of estate and inheritance tax planning, including wills, trusts, guardianships, executries and Powers of Attorney.
Legal 500, the independent legal directory, states that he “stands out for being attentive and effective” in personal tax, trust and executry work.
Mr Stevenson will join a rapidly expanding private client team in Shepherd and Wedderburn’s Aberdeen office, with a north of Scotland remit.
In recent months, the firm has recruited Gillian Campbell as a partner and head of private client in Aberdeen and the north of Scotland, and solicitor Kirsten McKinnon.
Mr Stevenson, who was previously a partner and consultant at Stronachs, where he worked with Hamish Lean, now Shepherd and Wedderburn’s head of rural property, will also work closely with the firm’s private client specialists across its UK offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London.
