The new savings team will be based in Shawbrook’s Glasgow office where it will join the existing 60 staff from the regional business centre, as well as the bank’s operations, payments, IT and marketing teams.

Reporting directly to chief operating officer Julian Hynd, the team will form part of the wider Shawbrook retail and business savings team, which is currently split between offices in London and Brentwood, Essex.

Shawbrook recently announced plans for an enhanced business savings offering, which will consist of new product launches and increases to existing rates.

The new team in Scotland will support retail and business customers and help to grow the bank’s presence in what it regards as a key growth area for the business.
