Scottish unemployment falls by 16,000 as UK’s hits lows rate since 1975
Unemployment in Scotland fell by 16,000 between November and January and now stands at 129,000, according to Office for National Statistics (ONS) data released today.
The Scottish unemployment rate has fallen 4.7 per cent, which is the same as the rate for the whole of the UK.
UK unemployment is now at its lowest rate in 41 years in the three months to January, according to the new figures.
