The Kilsyth-based supplier, which has customers across the UK and Europe, will use the funding to expand its purpose-built five-acre site to increase its offering. Around 20 new jobs are expected to be created as a result of the expansion.

Founded in 1972, the family-owned business is one of the main suppliers to garden centres and retail outlets across Scotland and also offers a complete one-stop function for landscape gardeners, landscape architects and public sector clients. It specialises in growing and stocking an extensive product range, including high-demand products such as Scottish heather and strawberries.

As well as using the funding to expand operational premises, £213,000 provided by Lombard has been earmarked for IT upgrades as the company recognises the importance of consistently improving technology across the business.

Ross Mitchell, senior relationship manager at Lombard, said: “We’re proud to have supported this fantastic company as it takes the next step in amplifying its business offering, and we look forward to seeing it go from strength to strength.”

Kenny Wilson, director at Craigmarloch Nurseries, added: “This is a really exciting time for the business as we can now progress a significant expansion of our Kilsyth HQ which will enable us to match increased customer demand.

“This growth aligns with our wider business strategy and has been enabled by the funding boost from Royal Bank of Scotland and Lombard. We’re really grateful for the excellent customer service the teams have provided throughout the transactions.”
