Scottish Government announces new £1m Regional Economic Partnership Fund
To help accelerate inclusive growth and economic collaboration across Scotland, all regions have been awarded a share of the £1 million Regional Economic Partnership Fund.
Regional Economic Partnerships can play a major role in implementing the economic ambitions of Scotland’s new National Strategy for Economic Transformation, according to business minister Ivan McKee.
This will help regions undertake detailed economic analyses that support ambitions aligned to the transformative economic strategy, including internationalisation plans that will increase business exports and the development of new markets and opportunities.
Ivan McKee said: “This Fund signals the Scottish Government’s commitment to working with all parts of Scotland to create a fairer, greener and more prosperous and productive economy. It will help regions across the country identify and build on their strengths, boosting productivity and inclusive growth within their economies.
“The Fund will enable government, business and key partners to work together with a shared purpose, and help to deliver our ambition for inclusive economic growth that significantly outperforms the past decade.”
