Scottish Golf announces Alan Kilpatrick as new chair

Alan Kilpatrick BEM has been elected as the new chair of Scottish Golf, following a membership vote at the 2025 AGM.

Mr Kilpatrick brings extensive international experience in senior finance, strategy, commercial, and general management, with a proven track record in business recovery and transformation. A qualified Chartered Accountant, he held senior roles at Devro plc, including UK managing director and international responsibilities in Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. He also chaired the International Business Committee of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry.

Mr Kilpatrick is also a founding director of the Friends of the Beatson charity and played a pivotal role in the formation of the Beatson Cancer Charity, through the merger of the Beatson Oncology Centre Fund and Friends of the Beatson.



His dedication to the Beatson and cancer patients in the West of Scotland was recognised with a British Empire Medal in the 2013 New Year Honours List.

Kilpatrick commenced his term while attending the Scottish Golf Annual Awards last week.
