Scots law firm backs trio of Premiership clubs in sponsorship hat-trick
McEwan Fraser Legal has scored a unique hat-trick by becoming the new sponsor of three Scottish Premiership clubs – Dundee, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Dundee United.
McEwan Fraser Legal will become the main club and shirt sponsor for all three teams from the start of next season 2016-17.
Revealing details of the deals as he welcomed the new agreements, Ken McEwan, chief executive of McEwan Fraser Legal said: “In the past there have been deals involving the same sponsor for two clubs - for instance the Old Firm.
“But this hat-trick of deals is unique in Scottish football.
“It is the first time the Tayside clubs have shared the same sponsor and we are delighted to become partners with both clubs. At the same time, we are extremely pleased to confirm McEwan Fraser Legal has also signed a deal to become the new main club sponsors with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.”
He added: “These clubs have been carefully chosen to enhance and grow our business in these regions as well as the recognition of supporting the local community in these areas.
“We were thrilled at the reaction our proposal received from the directors at Dens Park and Tannadice, especially at a time when our business interests are developing at such a rapid rate in the city.
“Similarly, Inverness is a major growth area for our company and the club shares many common characteristics with us. We are both relatively young, fast-growing and ambitious, embedded in the communities we serve, dynamic, innovative, competitive and keenly aware of the importance of securing positive results.
“Inverness Caledonian Thistle won the William Hill Scottish FA Cup last season in 2015 and look at the impact that had on the community. It is no secret that helped influence our decision to become involved in this deal as they are clearly building on that success.”
All three clubs have welcomed the new partnerships.
Dundee FC managing director John Nelms said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Dundee Football Club and we look forward to starting this partnership with McEwan Fraser Legal from next season.”
Paul Reid, head of commercial sales at Tannadice, said: “Dundee United are delighted to have McEwan Fraser Legal as our main club sponsor for seasons 2016/17-2017/18 and hopefully beyond, we look forward to working closely with the company helping build a long and successful partnership.”
And Inverness Caledonian Thistle chairman Kenny Cameron said: “It is fantastic for the club to have signed up to a two year deal with award winning solicitors and estate agents, McEwan Fraser Legal, as our new main club and shirt sponsor for at least the next two seasons. We are delighted to welcome McEwan Fraser Legal to our club and look forward to working together to the mutual benefit of both parties.”
McEwan Fraser Legal is no stranger to football sponsorship and previously operated a highly successful partnership with Hibs.
