SBP Accountants promotes four in Peterhead office
North-east accountancy firm SBP Accountants & Business Advisers has made a series of internal promotions at its Peterhead office.
Following a successful year at SBP, which also has offices in Aberdeen, Fraserburgh and Banff, the promotions include Lydia Bugden’s advancement to manager from supervisor, Alana Buchan’s promotion to senior accountant, Devon Simpson’s progression to accounts assistant level three, and Aidan Brown’s new role as accounts assistant level two.
Each promotion highlights the dedication and expertise of SBP’s team members in providing high-quality advisory and accounting support to clients.
Ms Bugden’s promotion to manager is particularly noteworthy. Since joining SBP in January 2020 as an accounts assistant, she has steadily advanced through the firm, most recently stepping into a supervisory role in April 2024, where she also took on staff management responsibilities.
Ms Budgen now oversees a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, and plays a key role in the daily operations of the Peterhead office. With just three exams left in her ACCA qualification journey, she continues to demonstrate SBP’s commitment to professional development and client service excellence.
Sophie Daniel, director of SBP Peterhead, said: “We are thrilled to recognise the hard work and dedication of Lydia, Alana, Devon, and Aidan.
“Each has demonstrated a strong commitment to personal and professional growth, which has directly contributed to SBP’s success. These promotions reflect our ongoing commitment to nurturing talent within the firm and investing in our team’s future.”
