Salus Technical surpasses £550k turnover
Salus Technical, a process safety firm, reported a record year for business growth, with annual turnover increasing by over 50% to surpass £550,000.
The company’s success is partly due to recent contract wins, including a 250-person training course contract with Serica Energy and two more oil and gas operator contracts, totalling 800 course sign-ups.
Salus Technical has expanded its software client base to over 30 companies worldwide, with significant growth in the renewables and net zero sectors. The firm plans to launch HAZOP.AI, a software product for hazard and operability studies, and has increased its workforce to six, prompting a move to larger offices in Aberdeen’s Skene Business Centre.
David Jamieson, Salus’ founder and managing director, said: “We have enjoyed an exceptional start to 2023, as companies and individuals in high-hazard industries recognise the benefits of accessing our resources, using our software products, and following the safety advice which is ingrained in all that we do.
“The team and I have an ongoing commitment to reducing the risk of injury and loss of life in these industries, so it is gratifying to know actions are being taken based on the knowledge and insights we have shared.”
Mr Jamieson continued: “We have several other developments to look forward to this year, including the launch of a new software product, HAZOP.AI, which is designed for Hazard and Operability Studies. We are delighted to have delivered demos of the AI tool to 30 companies so far.
“I am also honoured to be invited as the keynote speaker at the forthcoming Step Change in Safety Elected Safety Rep Event. I look forward to contributing to the agenda, working with the Step Change in Safety team, and meeting many more likeminded individuals at the event.”
