Sainsbury’s Bank opens Fife customer services centre

Edinburgh-based Sainsbury’s Bank has opened a new contact centre in Rosyth yesterday.

Customer services for the challenger bank will now be delivered in-house with the creation of the Bank’s first dedicated contact centre following the 2014 purchase by Sainsbury’s PLC of the 50 per cent share of the Bank owned Lloyds Banking Group.

The move saw 270 Lloyds contact centre staff transfered across to Sainsbury’s Bank.

The staff, who worked for Lloyds in nearby Pitreavie, will now be employed in 21,000 sq ft Caledonia House, which is located on Innova Campus in Rosyth, to serve Sainsbury’s Bank customers.

In recent years Sainsbury’s has been increasing its footprint in Scotland. Its bank recently partnered i-design, a Dundee-based Fintech expert and provider of customer engagement solutions and advertising media services, to roll out digital marketing in the bank’s ATMs.

This development allows Sainsbury’s Bank to provide real-time product information and offers, as well as gain valuable customer insight across its 1,700-strong ATM network.
