RBS funding helps Dumfries-based car dealership meet accelerated demand

Dumfries-based car dealership, Grierson & Graham, has secured a six-figure funding deal from Royal Bank of Scotland to assist in the expansion of its current premises.

The funding package will allow the business to demolish and completely rebuild the property, as it looks to meet growing customer demand.

The company is one of the UK’s longest-serving Honda dealerships, and the Annan road site, where the showroom has been located for 26 years, is nearing completion.

The expansion has already led to the creation of two new jobs, with plans to further grow the team in the coming months.

David Graham, director at Grierson & Graham, said: “Our business is more than 100 years old, and is continuing to go from strength to strength. The support from Royal Bank of Scotland has been invaluable, as it will allow us to rebuild our current dealership in Dumfries, meaning we can remain at a key site while meeting the demand from customers we’re experiencing.”

John Dodds, senior relationship manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “It has been rewarding to work with a company that prides itself in providing first-class customer service. It’s encouraging to see the company staying within the area, where they have been a staple part of the local business community for many years. It’s also great to see the business expanding and looking to recruit new members of staff locally - we wish Grierson & Graham continued success.”
