RBS backs MBO at Glasgow firm with £3m support
Royal Bank of Scotland has contributed just under £3 million to a £6.5 million “buyer induced management buy-out” deal at a Glasgow print finishing business.
RBS’s support for the buyout at ACA Press Cutters comes in the form of a combination of a loan, an invoice finance package and a hire purchase agreement.
ACA Press Cutters, which has an 80 strong workforce operating from a 60,000 square foot facility at Inchinnan, has grown into one of the country’s biggest suppliers of print finishing and packaging services.
The deal to take over ACA has been led by Glasgow-based entrepreneur Dara Changizi and print industry veteran Joseph Keenan currently working for a number of organisations including SCA Packaging and J Thomson Colour Printers.
Law firm Macdonald Henderson advised on the deal with their MBO team advised in turn on corporate finance/accountancy matters by Theseus Ventures.
ACA will now focus on modernisation and expansion in key areas including health and safety, as well as investing in new machinery and internal systems.
