Raft of promotions at Consilium Chartered Accountants
Glasgow-based Consilium Chartered Accountants has announced 13 internal promotions, including director and associate director appointments, across all levels of the business.
Within the firm’s Audit department, Brian Thomson has been promoted from associate director to director. He will support audit partner David Holt as the assurance function expands following multiple commercial and charity audit wins in 2024.
Mr Thomson said: “I’m delighted to be promoted to director within the audit department and want to thank the partners, and audit team for all the support throughout the year.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the audit and wider teams grow and develop over the coming year and playing my part in that.”
Andrew McKay becomes audit associate director, further strengthening the senior management team within Consilium and increasing his already extensive portfolio of clients.
“Being promoted to associate director is a significant milestone. Since joining Consilium in 2016, the growth I’ve experienced, both professionally and personally, has been transformative,” said Mr McKay, adding, “my thanks go to the Partners, my audit colleagues, and the entire Consilium team for their invaluable support and guidance”.
Additional audit department promotions include Ana Stosic who has taken up the role of assistant manager, Ross Donnelly and Dean Scobie both become supervisors, and Jessica Liu is promoted to senior.
Consilium has bolstered its accounting and business services team as Stuart Todd and Gary McVeigh both step up to senior manager. Samantha McCallum has been promoted to Assistant Manager and Jennifer Hamilton to Supervisor.
Following her qualification as a Chartered Tax Advisor earlier this year, Lydia Jagger takes on the role of supervisor in the commercial tax team.
Within finance and operations, Jessica Rarity has become finance manager and in the payroll outsourcing team, and Stephen McGuinness has been promoted to senior.
