Promotions at Aberdeen AM’s UK property team

Aberdeen_AssetAberdeen Asset Management’s property division has announced the promotion of Simon Moscow to become head of asset management for the UK, and Stephen Walker to deputy head of asset management for the UK.

The moves follow the departure of current head of asset management Giles Easter, who “plans to pursue interests elsewhere in the industry”.

In their new roles, Moscow and Walker will lead the team in developing the firm’s UK property business, cementing Aberdeen’s position as one of the largest British property asset managers.

Mr Moscow will oversee the team’s asset allocations for the firm’s UK property business.

Mr Walker, meanwhile, will support in his new position, as well as continuing in his role heading up the Edinburgh team.

The pair have worked for Aberdeen since 2008 and “will continue to bring to bear their considerable experience at the firm in their new roles” the firm said.

Aberdeen Asset Management has property funds under management of approximately £10.5bn in the UK as at 31st March 2015.
