Promotion to director at AAB
Aberdeen-based accountancy firm Anderson Anderson Brown has announced the promotion of Gary Johnstone to director.
Mr Johnstone joined AAB in 2009 to focus on developing the firm’s Outsourcing division which included the launch of the payroll offering in 2010.
Since then, the team has evolved to now provide extensive employer-related advisory and compliance services across employment taxes (both UK and overseas), expatriate taxes, employee benefits and global mobility.
The firm said Mr Johnstone’s expertise in the global mobility arena has allowed it to develop a “unique global tracking software solution, to complement their compliance services, and deliver the very best client service by ensuring that this software can be tailored and bespoke to each client no matter their size or location”.
The successful development and roll out of this software has enabled a number of AAB’s clients to access their own interactive dashboard technology on a real time basis to identify travelling employees who trigger compliance risk for themselves or for the company, assess tax reporting and withholding obligations globally and ensure all reporting and filing obligations are discharged on an easy to view basis.
Graeme Allan, managing partner, said “Gary has played a significant role in a number of growth initiatives since he joined the firm. Most recently these have been focused on expanding our operations into new locations, with a particular focus on London. Gary has also been instrumental in the growth of our employment taxes teams and in developing our unique Global Mobility offering. Not only is his promotion very well deserved but it expands our leadership team which is key to the continuing prosperity of this particular team and of the firm overall.”
