Procast Group secures £55m contract renewal with North Lanarkshire Council

Principal contractor Procast Group has secured a significant £55 million contract renewal with North Lanarkshire Council to deliver roof and render improvements across the region over the next five years.

The Hamilton-based firm has built a strong reputation for its work for with the council for over eight years, with the council renewing the partnership due to the high-quality results achieved in previous projects.

In Kilsyth alone, Procast Group has already upgraded more than 500 properties, with two standout projects. The first in Adam Place, where new external wall insulation (EWI) was installed on 300 flats to reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency. The second being on Findley Street and Park Lane, where the same EWI upgrades were carried out on 200 flats, further enhancing insulation and comfort for tenants in the area.

These improvements have made a significant environmental impact, too, reducing carbon emissions by 450 tonnes annually – equivalent to taking 100 cars off the road each year.

North Lanarkshire Council has an ongoing commitment to improve housing standards across the authority, with the aim of providing high quality, safe and sustainable properties for council tenants. The continuation of the framework and the appointment of Procast will see this work accelerated into 2025.

Looking ahead, Procast Group is eager to continue its successful collaboration with North Lanarkshire Council, delivering sustainable, energy-efficient solutions that improve tenants’ quality of life and contribute to climate goals.

Derek Innes, owner and managing director of Procast Group, said: “We are thrilled to renew our partnership with North Lanarkshire Council and embark on another five years of transformative projects within the region.

“The past five years have been hugely rewarding, and we are proud to have made a real difference in communities like Kilsyth. The new contract reflects the trust and confidence the council has in Procast Group, and we look forward to delivering even more impactful work for tenants as we move forward.”
