Prism Energy doubles turnover and workforce for fifth consecutive year
Aberdeen-based project risk management consultancy Prism Energy has reported a doubling of both turnover and workforce in 2024, continuing a five-year trend of annual turnover growth.
The firm’s revenue reached £2.5 million for the year ending March 2024, and the firm projects this figure will top £5m for 2024-25. The results follows the launch of two new divisions – Prism QHSE and Prism Connect.
Prism QHSE was established last year following the acquisition of Mandos Software in 2023. Recognising the critical role of quality management in successful project delivery, Prism’s managing director, Andy Sutherland saw the value in integrating process mapping software into the company’s digital offerings.
The QHSE division now serves 20 clients and is strengthened by the appointment of QHSE Lead, Carla Bruce, who offers consultancy services to clients.
Reflecting on the business’s success, Mr Sutherland said: “We offer a unique combination of specialist consultancy services and software products, and so far, the business has grown primarily through word-of-mouth referrals.
“There are many highlights from 2024 that the team can be proud of, including the diversification of our services, which has led to nine people being placed in roles within the chemicals industry in Leeds. I look forward to seeing what 2025 holds as we embark on areas such as shutdown delivery management, offshore construction, and engineering services.”
Prism Energy now has a headcount of 52 staff and contractors. The rate of growth prompted the team to relocate to a larger office last spring.
