Based in South Queensferry, Ms O’Brien brings expertise in financial planning, pensions, and investment advice. She previously worked at M&G Wealth Advice, where she operated within a restricted advice model.

Her appointment brings the firm’s total headcount to 18, with further recruitment planned in the coming months. Phil Anderson Financial Services has set an ambitious target of reaching 20 staff by mid-year as demand for independent financial advice continues to grow.

The firm, which has offices across the north and northeast of Scotland, has built a reputation for providing accessible, client-focused advice. Its expansion into the central belt is seen as a natural next step in its development.
