Existing members of PKCU, which was established in 2014, are now members of Scotwest, though will continue to manage their existing accounts through the PKCU website “until the next stage of the merger process is complete.

Scotwest, which earlier this year began the process of merging with Stirling Credit Union, now provides services across the west of Scotland, Stirling, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire, Perth and Kinross, Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Highlands.

Established in 1991, it is now one of Scotland’s largest credit unions.

Scotwest said: “This merger will not affect Scotwest members in any way, but we hope you look out for further announcements as we finalise this merger and the merger with Stirling Credit Union that are exciting steps for your credit union and the broader sector in Scotland.”
