Pair appointed to Clydesdale board
CYBG Banking Group, the group that includes Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, has announced the appointments of Clive Adamson and Paul Coby as independent non-executive directors.
They will both also join the boards of CYB Investments Limited as well as Glasgow-based Clydesdale.
Mr Adamson will also be appointed a member of board’s risk and audit committees.
Mr Coby, who is currently IT director at retailer John Lewis and a member of the firm’s management board, will take up his new positions on 1 June.
He was previously chief information officer at British Airways and is also a non-executive of retailer Pets at Home and Societe Internationale De Telecommunications Aeronautiques.
Mr Adamson, who holds non-executive directorships at Ashmore Group, the emerging markets investment manager, insurance company Prudential and investment bank JP Morgan’s wealth management arm, takes up his CYBG duties a month after Mr Coby.
Mr Adamson also a previous board member of city watchdog the Financial Conduct Authority.
