Noble Grossart in £5m payout to founder Sir Angus Grossart
Edinburgh-based merchant bank Noble Grossart has paid out around £5 million in dividends to its founder Sir Angus Grossart.
The 82-year-old banker, who has a £446 million fortune, received the majority of the £5.3 million dividend paid out by the bank, The Times reports.
Sir Grossart said the bank had a satisfactory year “given all the prevailing uncertainties”, with the bank reporting pre-tax profits of £1.4 million.
The dividend increased by 43 per cent from £3.7 million the previous year.
