New partner to enhance dispute resolution at Davidson Chalmers Stewart
Law firm Davidson Chalmers Stewart has appointed Jane Dickers its newest partner.
She will be based in the firm’s Glasgow office where she will expand the reach of the dispute resolution team.
Ms Dickers joined Davidson Chalmers Stewart as a director in early 2023, after 12 years as a partner and court practitioner in high street firms in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. She has managed a diverse range of civil, criminal and family cases throughout Scotland.
Prior to entering the legal profession after qualifying in 2011, Ms Dickers served as a board level strategic communications consultant to some of the country’s leading commercial property, financial and professional service organisations.
She joins an all-female leadership team in Glasgow that includes fellow partners Fiona Piper, a corporate specialist, and Nicola Scott, head of real estate and a renewables expert. Ms Dickers will work closely with the head of Davidson Chalmers Stewart’s dispute resolution team, Sheila Webster, who returns to the firm after her year-long term as president of the Law Society of Scotland.
Meanwhile, Davidson Chalmers Stewart has also recruited Vicky Ward, who rejoins its Glasgow corporate team as an associate. Ms Ward initially joined Kergan Stewart as a trainee in 2018 and remained at the firm following its 2019 merger with Davidson Chalmers before she moved to MacRoberts two years ago.
Davidson Chalmers Stewart managing partner, Laura Irvine, said: “We’re delighted to announce Jane’s promotion to partner in our dispute resolution team within the Glasgow office. She is a formidable and highly experienced litigator with an impressive commercial background.
“Jane’s move to partner level and the recruitment of Vicky Ward underlines our commitment to further expanding our firm’s presence across the West of Scotland.”
Ms Dickers said: “Davidson Chalmers Stewart already has a strong reputation for its commercial and property litigation services and I look forward to augmenting the team in our Glasgow office, serving businesses in the West of Scotland.”
