New destination for travel company

Renowned for its tailor-made honeymoons and holidays to exotic long haul destinations around the world such as the Far East, the Indian Ocean and Africa, the operator is opening a new store at the city’s 52 Gordon Street.

The premises, which covers 758 sq ft at ground floor and 740 sq ft at basement, have been taken on a new 10 year lease at a rental of £70,000 per annum and will welcome the first customers in January 2016.

Isla Monteith, partner at Cushman and Wakefield handled the letting for Kuoni Travel Limited.

She said: “You could not get a more prime location for Kuoni Travel, just a minute’s walk from Glasgow Central which is Scotland’s busiest station with over 38 million visitors a year and close to the key business and shopping districts.

“It is also near other travel operators like the Flight Centre and Thomas Cook and I am sure will trade very well in this part of the city.”

Alfred Kuoni launched his pioneering travel company in 1906 in Switzerland and the company arrived in the UK in 1965. Kuoni UK can now be found in 35 locations on premium high streets and in selected John Lewis stores.

The company is part of European travel group DER Touristik.
