The board of debt judgment registrar Registry Trust has designated Nick Rossiter its new chief executive with effect from July this year.

Registry Trust is the non-profit company which registers judgments, orders and fines throughout the British Isles and makes them available to the general public and – through credit reference agencies – to the credit world.

Rossiter has worked with Registry Trust for 13 years, initially as operational manager and more recently as an executive director and chief operating officer. Last year he was appointed deputy ceo.

He will take over from outgoing CEO Jon Hale, who retires on June 30 after 18 years as chief executive and 32 years with the Trust.

Chairman Malcolm Hurlston said: “Nick Rossiter has gained the deep regard of our partners and staff. Jon Hale is confident that his unique legacy is safe in Nick’s hands as well as the future developments of our mission.

“The board was unanimous this week in its approval of my recommendation that Nick become chief executive designate with immediate effect.

“We are now in the process of selecting a new senior executive capable of joining Nick on the board of the Trust.”

Rossiter joined Registry Trust after working in credit reference agencies Experian and Callcredit, and the Land Registry.

Both Experian and Callcredit are members of the Trust, which is a mission led company limited by guarantee.

He is married with one child and lives in Nottingham.
