NatWest appoints Scott Marcar as chief information officer
NatWest Group has announced that Scott Marcar will join its executive committee as chief information officer from 5 September 2022, subject to regulatory approval.
Mr Marcar joins the group from Deutsche Bank where he was CIO. Scott has over 25 years of technology experience having led teams across a wide range of financial services functions including corporate and investment banking, risk, finance, financial Crime, infrastructure, data, and architecture.
Mr Marcar’s extensive experience within the sector include several years already served at NatWest Group, where he held a number of senior roles within technology between 2007 and 2014.
Simon McNamara, after almost 10 years as chief administrative officer, has decided to take a new role at NatWest as a senior advisor, managing and growing a number of key investments for the bank.
