Millar & Bryce eases the estate administration process with new product launch
Scottish land and property search firm Millar & Bryce has launched Financial Asset Search (FAS), to support legal professionals and executors during the executry administration process.
Recognising the complex and time-consuming measures practitioners undertake during the administration of an estate, FAS provides access to a single service which help to identify lost, dormant or unknown financial assets.
From a single request point, Millar & Bryce will undertake multiple searches for complete due diligence, notifying up to 200 financial institutions at any one time to eliminate the need to contact each individually.
Covering a wide range of assets including pensions, life policies, unit trusts and bank accounts, the service also reduces the risk of fraud by providing a notification of death to each financial institution connected to the individual.
Debbie Welch, sales & marketing director of Millar & Bryce, said: “We are aware of the pressures our legal colleagues face administering estates with due diligence and in accordance with terms of wills, therefore this streamlined system will help bring peace of mind and ease to their everyday workload through its simple search mechanism.
“FAS removes the time-consuming element of this task and offers solicitors a risk-free solution. We are here to support our customers, their clients and their beneficiaries to help ascertain assets or debts owed which may be overlooked.”
