McCrea announces new board appointment

Glasgow-based McCrea Financial Services has announced that Jonathan Campbell has been appointed to its board of directors as part of an ongoing strengthening of the firm’s executive team.

Mr Campbell (43) joins the board of directors to assist with the senior management responsibilities while continuing to assist the firm’s ever-increasing client bank.

McCreas who hold the Investor in People Gold standard have seen staff numbers double in recent years as the business has grown with client numbers recently exceeding 1,000.



Funds under management now total in excess of £275 million and the firms profile has increased through their sports sponsorships which include Glasgow Warriors and Partick Thistle.

The firm’s managing director Douglas McCrea says he has put staff retention and high standards of client service at the heart of the company’s ethos.

He said: “After a number of years working with Jonathan I am delighted to welcome him to the board. He has been a great asset for both McCreas and our clients, and I look forward to working with him for years to come.”

Jonathan Campbell, added: “I was delighted to accept Douglas’s offer to join the board and it is a challenge that I am very much looking forward to. McCrea’s is a fantastic firm with a great team of staff and I hope to continue to help grow the business in the future.”

Meanwhile, Mr Campbell faces another big challenge in the next few weeks, taking on the Glen Ogle 33 Ultra Marathon on Saturday 4 November 2017 at Killin.

He will be raising money for McCreas two selected 2017 charities, Alzheimer Scotland and Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland.
