McCrea reveals “significant” expansion plans
Glasgow firm McCrea Financial Services has this week announced plans for a significant increase in its staff numbers and a move into larger office facilities after client numbers surged past 1,000.
McCrea, which was established in 1999 and has already seen staff numbers double in recent years, is to increase its headcount by 20 per cent.
Funds under management are now in excess of £300 million as the firms’ profile has increased through their sports sponsorships which include Glasgow Warriors rugby and Partick Thistle Football Club.
McCreas has also revealed that they have attained “Chartered” status from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
McCrea pointed out that only firms that can demonstrate the highest commitment to professional standards, development and ethics can hold Chartered Financial Planner status and the award recognises the firm as one of the most qualified and experienced in their field based on a number of criteria.
The recognition allows McCrea to now counts itself among a group of less than 2 per cent of Independent Financial Advisors in Scotland who hold this accreditation.
McCrea Financial Services Managing Director Douglas McCrea said: “We are delighted to reveal our plans to increase our team during 2018.
“With over 1,000 clients which increases weekly, the expansion will help our commitment to provide a professional and personal service to both existing and new clients which is always our number one priority.
“With that in mind, we are making a big investment to recruit for roles including independent financial advisers, paraplanners and senior administrators as well as in our Marketing department.
“We believe McCreas is a great place to work, and that there are tremendous opportunities for career and personal growth. We invest in our people and we treat them with enormous respect. In turn, the business benefits from a loyal, and dedicated team.
“The news that we have secured Chartered Status from the Chartered Insurance Institute is also fantastic, and reflects the hard work, experience and commitment from the whole team.”
The firm also said that it will continue to support a range of key community and charity initiatives over the course of the next 12 months, with two major announcements to follow in the coming weeks.
