Martin Currie sponsors conference designed to encourage school girls to consider a career in finance
Edinburgh investment house Martin Currie has hailed the success of the FUTURE AS5ET, a one day conference held at the capital’s International Conference Centre aimed at secondary school fifth year girls from across Scotland to promote the fact that gender should never be seen as a barrier to progressing in any career, especially one in the finance industry.
Friday’s event was attended by two portfolio managers from of Martin Currie, which was also sponsoring the event.
With a combined investment experience of 39 years, Claire Marwick, from the company’s Japanese team and Amanda Whitecross, from its Global Long-Term Unconstrained team, joined the other inspirational delegates to network and share their experiences of working in this vibrant and evolving sector with the next generation of female finance professionals.
