Marsh appoints new head of Glasgow office
Global insurance broking and risk management firm Marsh has announced the appointments of Maureen Robertson as head of its Glasgow office and Martin McKenna as regional sales leader for Scotland.
Both will report to Allan McPherson, Zone Leader, Scotland and the North of England Region.
From its Glasgow hub, Marsh provides insurance, risk advisory and claims services to a wide range of organisations, from growing local businesses to multinational companies headquartered in Scotland, as well as firms with Scottish operations.
It also has offices in Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
Ms Robertson joined Marsh in 2012 and was previously Regional Client Services Director, Scotland.
As Head of the Glasgow office, she assumes overall responsibility for Marsh’s clients across the Central Belt. Before joining Marsh, Ms. Robertson was Commercial Manager of insurer QBE’s Glasgow office.
Mr McKenna, who joins Marsh from Zurich Insurance in Glasgow, held several senior roles at Zurich over 10 years, mostly recently as Scottish Regional Sales Leader.
In his new role, Mr McKenna will focus on business development across Marsh’s Scottish operations.
Mr. McPherson said: “Businesses across Scotland are faced with an increasingly complex risk landscape, which is being created by wider economic, geopolitical and regulatory pressures. To help them manage these risks more effectively, businesses require simple, straightforward advice that protects their future and helps them to grow.
“With her experience, Maureen is well-placed to lead Marsh’s Glasgow office and deliver the best of Marsh to our clients across central Scotland. I’m also delighted that Martin is joining the firm, and look forward to working with him as he builds Marsh’s business in Scotland.”
