Lindsays bolsters residential team with new property manager

Simon Donaldson

Simon Donaldson, a seasoned Edinburgh-based property expert, has joined the residential team at solicitors and estate agents Lindsays.

Mr Donaldson has been appointed as a property manager within the firm’s residential property team, based in the capital, following 17 years with Simpson & Marwick.

His appointment comes as Lindsays continues to grow its estate agency services, particularly in Edinburgh, throughout the Lothians and across Dundee, Angus and Perthshire.

Mr Donaldson has spent the last decade as a senior property consultant, working on the frontline of the city’s housing market as it has continually evolved.

He said: “Lindsays is a name I have always known for its strong reputation across the market and it’s great to be joining the team.

“I enjoy being visible to clients and like to do a good job for them. The way Lindsays works plays to my strengths and will allow me to do exactly that.

“This is a reasonably good time for buyers and sellers in the Edinburgh market. Property prices are relatively stable, which provides a degree of certainty for everyone involved. Demand certainly continues to outstrip supply, so when people see a home that’s right for them, they are going for it.”

Lindsays’ estate agency team is led by head of residential property Andrew Diamond and residential property managing director Maurice Allan.

Mr Diamond, who is also a partner in the firm and the chair of solicitor estate agency alliance ESPC, said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon to the team.

“To attract a professional of his calibre to the firm is testament to the high standards that we strive to achieve for our clients and further strengthens the experience and insight that we offer in navigating the housing market.

“Sound and sensible advice, tailored to individual circumstances, is the key to securing the best outcomes for buyers and sellers. You have to know the market in order to do that - and Simon certainly does.”
