Scottish Building Society, the world’s oldest building society, has joined forces with Legado to implement technology which will modernise its member communications.
As a member-owned mutual, Scottish Building Society’s focus and purpose is to help people save money, and to help people buy homes, with everyone who opens a savings account or a mortgage becoming a member.
Josif Grace, Legado’s CEO and founder, said: “Scottish Building Society will now be able to deliver a more streamlined, secure, and effective communication experience for its valued members. While we work with financial services brands across the UK, it’s great to be working with their team here in Edinburgh where we’re also headquartered.”
Legado also provides its innovative technology platform and suite of tools to financial services brands like FNZ, Moneyhub, and Co-op Legal Services.
In addition to providing a more user-friendly digital experience, the collaboration will reduce costs associated with printing and posting, promoting paperless processes in keeping with Scottish Building Society’s net zero targets.
Paul Denton, chief executive of Scottish Building Society, said: “Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and we are always looking at ways to improve their experience with us and to ease the journey for new members. Legado’s technology enables us to do exactly that, while allowing us to progress towards our net zero goals.”
Josif Grace added: “We are building intuitive digital journeys for the Society’s members, engendering more meaningful and impactful communication, and setting a new standard of service in the building society sector in the UK.”
