KPMG UK announces new Scotland partners
KPMG UK has promoted three colleagues in Scotland to Partner. Oliver Dockray, Martin Stephens, and Philippa Sanderson all became partners of the professional services firm on 1 December 2021.
Oliver Dockray becomes partner and head of tax technology and innovation following 13 years with the firm. Based in Glasgow, Dockray specialises in tax technology and has built a team of over 100 technology professionals at the cutting edge of digitising tax for KPMG’s clients across Scotland and the UK.
Martin Stephens is now partner within KPMG UK’s Corporate Services Transformation team in FS Consulting after being with the firm for 15 years. Edinburgh based Martin will continue to support Insurance CFOs through major periods of change with programmes to deliver outcomes related to cost reduction, integration, or regulatory compliance, all underpinned by technology.
Philippa Sanderson is also elevated to partner. An experienced tax adviser, Philippa currently leads KPMG’s Private Enterprise Tax across Scotland. As part of her promotion, Philippa will now also drive KPMG’s Private Enterprise Tax business in Yorkshire and the Humber. Philippa and her team advise private businesses and their owners on all aspects of tax, in the UK and internationally through KPMG’s extensive global network.
All three will work closely with KPMG UK’s Scotland Senior Partner James Kergon to drive growth for the firm in Scotland.
Commenting on the new promotions, James Kergon said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Philippa, Martin and Oliver into KPMG’s partnership. All three are true leaders in their respective fields and bring our clients valued senior expertise. As they take this next step in their impressive careers, I look forward to seeing them continue to grow in their practice areas and deliver for our clients across Scotland.”
