KPMG appoints three new directors to its Scottish practice
KPMG has appointed three new directors to its tax and audit teams within its Scottish practice.
In Edinburgh, Craig Barrowman has been appointed director in the tax and legal team. He’s joined by tax director Ruth Wallace in Glasgow and Michelle Smarsh, who is promoted to audit director in Aberdeen.
The promotions within the tax and audit teams are part of a wider commitment within the firm to invest in talent and innovation in Scotland, and support clients through the economic challenges created by the coronavirus pandemic.
Commenting on his promotion, tax director Craig Barrowman, said: “It’s been an incredibly challenging period for the Scottish economy, but time and again, the business community has proved its resilience and KPMG has been a key part of that story, supporting companies with experience and insight.

In addition to the new director appointments, Simon Smith has been promoted to associate director in restructuring, based in Aberdeen, and Ed Monroe and Armen Balasanyan become audit managers in Edinburgh and Aberdeen respectively.
